Yellow Elephant
Amid the choppy, uncertain path of our childhood, my brother clung to his yellow elephant, carrying it with him from town to town, country to country. Purchased in Whitechapel and gifted to him by our paternal grandfather, it became more than just a toy; it was a symbol of resilience—the quiet strength needed to overcome the obstacles of our upbringing and the challenges within our family. That small, steadfast companion reflected the fortitude we both required to navigate and endure the complexities of those formative years.
